How Big Is Baby at 11 Weeks Pregnant?

At 11 weeks pregnant your baby is now as big as a fig. Weighing around one-third of an ounce and measuring a little over 1 ½ inches.

How Is My 11 Week Fetus Developing?

This week your baby is starting to look more and more like a human being.

Your cute little baby’s body is straightening out.

Soon they will be stretched out, rolling and do flips inside the uterus.

The ears are completely developed.

Nail beds are formed as well as individual finger and toes.

Not only is all this happening, but your baby is becoming one smart cookie with their head accounting for over half their body length.

11 Weeks Pregnant Belly

Oh, your cute little 11 weeks pregnant belly! Are you so in love with it yet?

You will notice that your 11 week pregnant baby bump isn’t just from bloating or gas anymore.

Although you might not notice quite yet, especially in your first pregnancy, but your uterus is now the size of a grapefruit. Your cute little 11 weeks pregnant belly is here to stay!

Even if you aren’t showing yet and all your clothes still fit, I suggest starting to shop now for maternity clothing that will be stretchy and comfy on your growing belly.

11 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms

Increased Appetite

Are you feeling hungry more often? Eating for two now can cause you to feel constantly hungry.

Don’t get carried away and assume because you are eating for two you can eat whatever you want.

To help curve those hunger pains make sure you are drinking the recommended glasses of water a day which is between 64 and 80 ounces a day.

In the first trimester, your calorie intake shouldn’t increase.

Make sure you are choosing nutritious snacks and your meals contain high fiber and protein foods.

Avoid buying food that will be tempting to eat.

Try to keep only foods in the house you would like to consume during pregnancy. If you are really craving a candy bar then run grab one at the convenient store. Keeping these in the house almost guarantees you will eat them more often than you would like to.

Food Cravings

If you have not had food cravings yet, they are starting to kick in.

Whether its sweets, salty snacks, or Mexican food it’s normal.

You will find that these differ from pregnancy to pregnancy. With my first pregnancy, all I wanted was Jack in the Box tacos.

Just remember all things in moderation and be sure you are eating a well-balanced diet and healthy meals.

Gas/Bloating

You aren’t mistaken your jeans might be a little tighter as your pregnant belly is changing.

Gas and bloating are common in the first trimester. Thanks to the pregnancy hormone progesterone it triggers all the bloating, gas, and even burping.

Vaginal Discharge

You may notice an increase in clear vaginal discharge. This is normal as long as it is not accompanied with itching, odor or blood.

If you are itching, have vaginal odor, or blood contact your doctor because you might have an infection.

Skin Darkening

You may all of a sudden see a dark line going down the center of your belly. This is called linea nigra.

Don’t stress this isn’t permanent and it is caused by all the hormone changes.

If you breastfed it may take longer for this line to disappear.

No Symptoms at 11 Weeks Pregnant

There are some pregnant mamas out there that have no symptoms at 11 weeks pregnant and that is okay too! Just because you are pregnant does not mean that you have pregnancy symptoms that are present.

Just enjoy the journey of pregnancy, soon enough you will have pregnancy symptoms to look forward to like swollen ankles and food cravings!

How Many Months Is 11 Weeks Pregnant?

You are in your 3rd month of pregnancy! You are officially 2 months and 2 weeks at 11 weeks pregnant.

What to Do at 11 Weeks Pregnant?

Find a Good Bra

If you haven’t already it is time to find a good bra. Since your breasts are getting larger finding a good support bra is a good investment and will benefit you in the long run.

Wash Your Hands

It’s important to keep yourself healthy and prevent transmitting diseases and infections to your baby.

Make sure you wash your hands after touching raw meat, using the bathroom, and before you eat.

Don’t rush when it comes to washing your hands. Lather your hands up for 20 seconds and wash off with warm water.

I always suggest singing Happy Birthday to yourself!

It’s Okay if You Aren’t in the Mood

Okay mama, do you feel like one day you are in the mood and then the next day you just want to be left alone?

When you are pregnant, your hormones are all over the place so it is totally normal how you feel.

When it comes to your sex drive their will be times where you are way into sex and then others where you are like no thank you stay away.

Don’t worry! This is completely normal! Rest assured that every other pregnant woman is feeling the exact same way right now.

So if you are not feeling in the mood right now you will be soon.
