Musical acts, fabulous food truck eats, plus fun distractions for the whole family. That’s Arts and Craft’s Field Trip weekend festival in Toronto and we have a pair weekend passes to giveaway.

As parents you’ve probably had your fill of kiddie concerts or pre-teen pop bands. I don’t mind taking the kids to these events but I love exposing them to other unique experiences in order to expand their taste. Field Trip gives you a chance to enjoy a weekend event that will be entertaining for you and the little ones.

  1. We most recently enjoyed Springridge Farm but musically, we were lucky enough to enjoy the family area of the Tragically Hip / Weezer show at Downsview a few years ago (I think they do it every year for July 1 with different bands). That was a phenomenal experience with our then 9 month old!

    • That’s great that they had a family area. I love being able to expose kids to these live events and location but having a family area can make it a little safer, especially for little kids.

  2. The last family event we went to was the digi play space at TIFF but I have to agree with Derek – the best family event we’ve been to was TURF. This event looks like it will be just as awesome!

      • A little prep helped. Leading up to the fest I started to show her the music videos of the various bands on youtube. She liked Whitehore – Devil’s Got a Gun, Cat Empire – Brighter than gold, etc. So when those songs were played she thought it was terrific. I’m prepping her for this year with some Lowell, Kevin Drew. She know the words to Mexican Aftershow Party!!!

  3. The last family-friendly event we took the little ones to was the Harvest Picnic – music festivals are great for everyone!

  4. Harbourfront is always a great bet. A couple of weeks ago they had clowns, free doughnuts and a little train to ride. Lots of events coming up there in the summer too.
