Musical acts, fabulous food truck eats, plus fun distractions for the whole family. That’s Arts and Craft’s Field Trip weekend festival in Toronto and we have a pair weekend passes to giveaway.
As parents you’ve probably had your fill of kiddie concerts or pre-teen pop bands. I don’t mind taking the kids to these events but I love exposing them to other unique experiences in order to expand their taste. Field Trip gives you a chance to enjoy a weekend event that will be entertaining for you and the little ones.
We talked about some of the family-friendly events planned for the two-day festival and thanks to the folks at Field Trip we have one (1) pair of weekend passes to Field Trip. Plus kids under twelve are admitted for free meaning the whole family can go.
To enter simply fill out the form below letting me know the last family-friendly event or show you took the kids to.
One prize consisting of one (1) pair of Field Trip weekend passes is available to be won (approx. value $250 Cdn). Contest closes June 4, 2014 and is open to Canadian residents only. Winner must be within the greater Toronto area to claim and use the passes. No transportation or accommodations provided. Please see full contest rules.

Celebration Square in Mississauga!
A neighborhood game night at our local park.
You’re right Nic, sometimes just doing something with the neighbourhood kids can be just as fun as heading to a big event.
We most recently enjoyed Springridge Farm but musically, we were lucky enough to enjoy the family area of the Tragically Hip / Weezer show at Downsview a few years ago (I think they do it every year for July 1 with different bands). That was a phenomenal experience with our then 9 month old!
That’s great that they had a family area. I love being able to expose kids to these live events and location but having a family area can make it a little safer, especially for little kids.
I took my family to Canada’s Wonderland
we went to medieval times
I have never been to Medieval Times but I know it’s on the kids’ wish list.
It was Disney On Ice over the March Break!
last family-friendly event or show you took the kids to was Canada’s Wonderland. Fun times!
Thanks for the reminder. I don’t think I’ve ever taken my kids to Wonderland yet. Should put that on our list.
The last family event we went to was the digi play space at TIFF but I have to agree with Derek – the best family event we’ve been to was TURF. This event looks like it will be just as awesome!
Loved the the digi play space. Such amazing interactivity and creativity in that place.
I took my 6yr old godkid to the TURF fest last year. It was fantastic. She still remembers the music.
I’m not familiar with TURF fest but if your 6 year old enjoyed it I’ll have to check it out with my kids.
A little prep helped. Leading up to the fest I started to show her the music videos of the various bands on youtube. She liked Whitehore – Devil’s Got a Gun, Cat Empire – Brighter than gold, etc. So when those songs were played she thought it was terrific. I’m prepping her for this year with some Lowell, Kevin Drew. She know the words to Mexican Aftershow Party!!!
The last family-friendly event we took the little ones to was the Harvest Picnic – music festivals are great for everyone!
Harvest Picnic sounds great. I’ll have to look that one up for my family.
Harbourfront is always a great bet. A couple of weeks ago they had clowns, free doughnuts and a little train to ride. Lots of events coming up there in the summer too.
We love Harbourfront too. They always have some amazing festivals with food and music and activities. We’re so lucky to have that spot in our city.
amazing lineup! fingers crossed!
Agreed Lisa. Our Junior Style Blogger is so excited that Chvrches is playing on Sunday.
