With Halloween and Thanksgiving behind us it’s time for Santa to make an appearance. His arrival and the start of the holiday season is marked by the annual Toronto Santa Claus parade. We’ve attended almost every year (even before kids) to see the fun floats and hear the live marching bands. To me the parade signals the start to be all things festive, from reading holiday books and baking cookies to putting the decorations up around the house.
We had great seats this year thanks to our friends at Nintendo Canada (who had a great float in the parade) on University Avenue right across from the Hospital for Sick Kids. If you’ve never been, I’ve condensed the 2-hour parade into under 15 minutes to give you a quick taste.
Do you attend your local parade? What marks the start of your holiday preparations?
