My son and I enjoyed a little Southern California adventure, taking a seven day road trip, just the two of us. Of course I had to overcome my anxiety of being the only driver but after that our trip together was non-stop. We visited Pasadena and Hollywood, drove over to Huntington Beach and then down the coast through Dana Harbor and ending in San Diego.

I’ll be sharing some of our experiences, like where to take your foodie family to eat in Old Pasadena, and a peek at our oceanfront room in the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, but we put this video to invite you along with us during our seven day adventure.

If you thought a family vacation meant planning one stop and experiencing everything that destination has to offer, this road trip illustrates that sometimes sampling a little bit of fun from a number of destinations can be just as fun. We also discovered just how varied California landscape and experiences can be. Checkout the video to get a sense of the kind of adventure families can have and be sure to follow out family travel section as I share more ideas from our road trip.
