As moms we are the family vacation masters. From planning and organizing the trip to capturing family memories, like your little one’s first Walt Disney World ride or your daughter meeting Elsa in person, but where are we? How many vacation photos is mom in? Disney’s Memory Maker hopes to change that.
Vacations are great fun as a family but they are only a moment in time. I think that’s why I like to take photos. Each trip is different, each experience unique. Even a trip to Walt Disney World, one we have done many times, is always different. Of course Disney’s drive to improve a guest’s experience and add new attractions make it easy to enjoy something new, but my kids also change each visit. As they get older and develop new interests the park experience is different each time for all of us.
Photos are a way of capturing that moment in time but as I look at these images I notice one thing is always missing. Me. I’m with my family but you would never guess that from the very few family photos with me included.
Disney’s new Memory Maker wants to take over mom’s role as family photographer, enabling her to be in the moment instead of just capturing it. Plus no matter how great a photographer you may be, those Disney PhotoPass photographers seem to have the ability to call up a little magic, bringing Tinkerbell and other Disney characters into your photos.
Purchasing a Disney Memory Maker account means you don’t have to worry about what PhotoPass photos you grab and where. Your account gives you unlimited downloads of EVERY Disney PhotoPass photo you have taken, from the group shot in front of the castle to meeting Pluto on Main Street USA. Even those impromptu rides shots, like the one with everyone screaming as you drop in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, can be added to your account.
Simply link your Disney account through the MyMagic+ service. Then when you’re out and about with the family be sure to stop at all the PhotoPass spots to capture a moment on your PhotoPass or MagicBand. The free My Disney Experience app makes it easy to find these throughout the park. If you’re traveling with a larger group other members in your MyMagic+ Friends and Family account can also add and view your photos. Set-up your Memory Maker account before your vacation begins and you can start capturing photos as soon as you enter the park (activated 3-days after set-up) plus you enjoy a discounted rate.
With Disney’s Memory Maker even us vacation masters can relax and live in the moment. Disney’s got us covered, capturing our memories with us for the whole family look back on and enjoy once this moment has passed.
