With the winter holidays over and the dreariness of the winter months setting in, a little surf, sand, and sun may be in order. Now Canadian travelers can hit the beaches and restaurants of Barbados with Transat’s new weekly non-stop service. As of December 25, 2011, travelers can fly direct from Toronto to Barbados every Sunday during the winter months, ending April 22, 2012.
“We are delighted Transat Holidays will be offering service to Barbados this winter,” said Cheryl Carter, Senior Business Development Manager of the Barbados Tourism Authority in Canada. “Canada is a very important market for Barbados which continues to grow. At a time when travel habits are changing and new competitors are entering the playing field, we are pleased that Barbados is offering a new service reflecting its strength as a tourism destination and igniting a confidence of its diverse appeal.”
This new non-stop service gives travellers another choice in getting away too the warm Barbados sun. Along with flights, travelers can purchase vacation packages through Transat Holiday’s partnership with a variety of properties on the island – ranging from 3.5 to 5 star, all-inclusive to European Meal Plans, family to luxury accommodations and secluded to centrally located.
