It’s hard to believe it has been over two years since we started streamlining Everything, letting go of playing the big game. We made a lot of changes, stepping away from things that were eating into our happiness but we knew we weren’t quite there. We needed to make the next step. And you’re looking at it.

What, you say? A new site design? Bloggers do that all the time, how is this earth shattering? We’ve talked about dropping the act, the outside reflecting the inside, but our site wasn’t doing that. Sure, it looked all smooth, shiny, and streamlined but it was a fallacy. Behind the scenes were patches and confusion and stress. The backend of the site had been plastered together with duct tape to keep it together through the changes over the past 9 years.

Completely the opposite of our message to “remove the pressure to be Everything”.

What appears as a simple site design to you is actually our next step to putting our thoughts into practice. Simplicity. Happiness. Time. We’re looking to capture all of that again for ourselves. To you our valued community it will be business as usual as we share what makes being mothers and women fun, trips with the family, books we love, perhaps with some bits of randomness. But for us it will mean reduced stress. Fewer headaches. Less aggravation.

We’re ready to take the step. Thanks for sticking around all these years and we look forward to many more!

    • Thanks Christy! I can’t believe I’m all excited about the new site and the ability to post without wading through code. We’ve always appreciated that you’ve been part of our community through so many of our changes too.
