We all know how important eating breakfast is for a good start to your day, especially when it comes to our children, but it’s something many Canadian children miss out on.

“Close to 700,000 Canadian children live below the poverty line. Boys and Girls Clubs in 700 communities across Canada support critical areas of healthy child development, including addressing child hunger through the provision of nutritious meals and snacks to thousands of young people in need,” says Pam Jolliffe, President and CEO, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.MSN_breakfast_campaign_article_image_1

To build awareness of this growing problem, Microsoft Canada teamed up with long-time partner Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada to create the MSN.ca Breakfast Campaign, which launches nationally April 5, 2011.

You can help. For every homepage reset to MSN.ca, Microsoft Canada will donate a breakfast to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Visit www.breakfast.msn.ca for more information on the campaign and to reset your homepage. The goal is to donate 100,000 breakfasts and you can help by resetting your homepage today. Let others know you’re supporting the MSN.ca Breakfast Campaign by ‘toasting’ your profile picture and posting it on the Wall of Toast on MSN Canada’s facebook page facebook.com/msncanada.

You may switch your homepage over to help provide breakfast to children across Canada, but the new features and revised design of MSN.ca will keep you there. The cleaner design is less cluttered and easier to navigate and the faster loading time means you can get your news quicker, including sources from CBC, BBC and MSNBC.

You’ll also enjoy the Editor’s Picks, must-see videos, plus an expanded Bing Shopping section that highlights the best deals. Keep up to date with what’s going on in your social media networks through your Facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as your Messanger and Hotmail right from your new MSN.ca homepage.
