My family walked away from cable years ago for the less expensive and more flexible Netflix and we’ve never regretted the move. We loved the variety of shows and movies (both old and new) but what really is excited is some of the original series programming from Netflix Canada.

I have loved shows like Lilyhammer (all new episodes are coming to Netflix this December which is pretty exciting), House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. Even the news that Netflix will be producing a forth season of The Killing has me excited about television again. But Netflix hasn’t forgotten about the younger viewers. Starting on December 24 kids will be able to catch the new Turbo FAST series (based on the Dreamworks film:

The Turbo FAST series may not be the same animation treatment as the motion picture but sylised 2D treatment is designed to reflect the stunt teams world, souped-up and fast. You’ll also find the same characters you love – Turbo, Whiplash, Burn, Smoove Move, White Shadow, Skidmark and Chet – but this time their back in new home of Snail City.

Turbo FAST represented the first-ever Netflix original series created for kids and starting December 24th families will be able to stream the first five episodes with additional episodes being added throughout the year. You can get a sneak peek at what’s to come from the series trailer below:

My family loves Netflix and we’re looking forward to another great year of discovering some great programming, including original series like Turbo FAST. If you yet haven’t tried Netflix we have the perfect giveaway. Thanks to Netflix Canada we have one (1) year Netflix subscription plus a Roku 2 streaming device to giveaway.
