As Thanksgiving approaches, many of us are busy making preparations for the big dinner. There will be turkey and stuffing and maybe a pie or two. Unfortunately, for some families there won’t be a big feast. For some families there might not even be dinner. You can change that.

When out picking up cranberries and potatoes and pumpkin pie, be sure to add some canned vegetables, cereal, or dry pasta to you list. These are just a few of the items suggested to contribute to the Food Bank.

Bring your donation to the Rogers Centre bus parking lot (Bremner Blvd. Across from Box Office, Gate 8) on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to give to Cam McQueen, Northern Nightmare Driver & Monster Jam 2012 Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle Champion.

See both 10,000 lb Monster Jam trucks Northern Nightmare and Grave Digger up close, decorate crush cars, get Monster Jam tattoos as well as get a photo and autograph with Cam McQueen. The first 500 individuals to donate 5 non-perishable food items to the Fort York Food Bank receive a complimentary voucher to the upcoming Monster Jam Toronto show. All other donors will receive a $5 discount voucher for the Monster Jam 2013 Toronto show.

The Monster Jam Canada Food Drive to Crush Hunger is a great event for an even greater cause.
