With Halloween behind us, kids everywhere are starting to compile their Christmas wish lists. Gift shopping may be the furthest from your mind but you’ll have to face it sometime. If toys are on your list, Mattel and Walmart Canada’s Pop-Up Toy Shop might make things a little easier.

For the next four weeks Toronto commuters can get a jump on their holiday toy shopping with the Mattel and Walmart Canada virtual Pop-Up Toy Shop located in the Rotunda underneath the Brookfield Place building in the PATH system, the city’s underground walkway.

“Walmart is a top destination for innovation and for holiday shopping, especially when it comes to toys. We’re thrilled to partner with Mattel to bring this exclusive out-of-store experience to our busy customers,” said Cheri Anthony, Walmart’s director of merchandising for toys. “It’s another way we can help Canadian families create holiday magic for less.”

The pop-up shop will consist of two walls of three dimentional toy images. Using your smartphone and a QR code reader app, simply scan the QR code associated with the Mattel toy you are interested in to make your purchase. You’ll find some of Mattel’s hot brands like Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher Price, and Thomas & Friends.

The Mattel and Walmart Canada Pop-Up Toy Shop is open during the regular P.A.T.H. access hours. Whether you are heading home from a late night meeting or stepping out for a quick bite of lunch, the Mattel and Walmart Canada Pop-Up Shop will be open for your shopping needs. No need to carry packages home with free shipping from Walmart Canada.

The best part about the Mattel and Walmart Canada virtual Pop-Up Toy Shop is not having to step foot into a toy store during the holiday season. Now that’s a gift I can enjoy.
