From preparing for holiday road trips and decorating the house to finding great gift ideas and learning life lessons only the holidays can bring, my family has spent many hours in the aisles of our local Canadian Tire store during the Christmas season.

We’ve stocked our van with windshield washer fluid and a little shovel for roadside emergencies when traveling the sometimes snowy and icy roads to Grandma’s house the day after Christmas. For the husband who had everything, I’ve always been able to surprise him with a new gadget for his toolbox. Even my oldest daughter learned the harsh reality of budgeting and making gift choices for others using Canadian Tire Money.

Canadian Tire will always come to my mind as the store to turn to for Christmas needs and they’ve been doing this for all Canadians for more than 90 years. As it turns out it’s not just Canadians who have relied on Canadian Tire during the holidays.

It seems the man in red knows what most Canadians have come to realize, that Canadian Tire is Everyone’s Christmas Store.

Sure, I’ll be back to Canadian Tire for a new garden hose in the spring, BBQ accessories in the summer and perhaps a rake in the fall but Christmas and winter will always be what comes to mind when thinking about Canadian Tire. I bet I still have some of that Canadian Tire money tucked in my wallet too.

Do you have a fond Canadian Tire memory? Be sure to share it using the tag #CTSavesSanta. I’m sure I’m not the only Canadian who had spent a holiday moment at Canadian Tire.
