It seems a little strange talking the holidays now but you know that the season will sneak up on you. I’m hoping to get a handle on some of my holiday shopping earlier so I can focus more on my holiday fun. American Express Canada’s Membership Rewards Program has a few ideas that may help.

As an American Express Gold Reward Cardmember, I’ve been pretty busy all year collecting points. Each dollar I spend on my Card equates to one Membership Rewards point and in some case, like filling the van with gas or buying items at the drugstore, I earn as much as two points for each dollar. As you can imagine, my points accumulate rather quickly. Although most times I use my Membership Rewards points for travel or entertainment rewards, the holiday season is the perfect time to redeem my points for items in the Membership Rewards holiday catalogue.

This year Membership Rewards has launched a new online holiday catalogue, full of wonderful gift ideas for you and your family and all available to redeem using your Membership Rewards points! They’ve also added a great new Kid’s Section. From the Vtech InnoTab Learning App Tablet for the tech-savvy child to the Mongoose Magic Bike for the active ones, this year’s holiday catalogue contains a collection of toys worthy of any young child’s holiday wish list.  There’s even items for the baby on the way, like the Motorola Digital Video Baby Monitor.

The best part about shopping the Membership Rewards holiday cataloguea> is that it can all be done from the comfort of your computer. No mall crowds, no grumpy sales clerks, and no impatient kids in tow. Plus your item is delivered right to your door, keeping the surprise safe until that special morning.

Along with great gift items in the Membership Rewards holiday catalogue, I have shared some of my tips on making the most of your holiday shopping. Check it out!
