As I work my way through the pages of back to school forms, sharing my children’s latest medical history, I’m reminded that for many parents Juvenile Diabetes is a real part of their child’s life. Here’s your chance to help kick diabetes and support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
In partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), Sun Life has committed to donating $101 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund every time a successful field goal is kicked during the CFL regular season, up to $40,000, in honour of the 101st playing of the Grey Cup Championship Game. The funds will be donated to the affiliated Juvenile Diabetes Research Facility within the winning team’s city.
You can win too. Visit Sun Life’s Kick Diabetes Facebook contest for a chance to win one pair of 2014 CFL season tickets or one of 11 CFL jerseys. You will need to complete a contest entry form and donate a kick to your favourite CFL team.
Sun Life’s donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund goes toward improving the technology used by diabetes patience to monitor blood sugar levels and deliver the proper dose of insulin. It will also aid in the research that we hope will deliver a cure in the future.
Even if you are not affected personally by Juvenile Diabetes, chances are a one of the kids at school may have the condition, perhaps one of your child’s friends. Here’s your chance to give Juvenile Diabetes a swift kick. Visit Sun Life’s Kick Diabetes Facebook contest for a chance to win.
