A game of football is a great way to spend an autumn afternoon with the kids; it’s also a great way to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

In honour of the 101st playing of the Grey Cup Championship Game, Sun Life has committed to donating $101 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund every time a successful field goal is kicked during the CFL regular season, up to $40,000, to the city of the winning team. Visit Sun Life’s Kick Diabetes Facebook page to ‘donate a kick’ to your favourite CFL team, plus you can win a pair of 2014 CFL season tickets or one of 11 CFL jerseys.

Although the cause of Juvenile Diabetes is not completely known, it is believed its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. Sun Life’s donation will aid in helping the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund develop a cure so children and their families won’t have to worry about this condition in their future. You can help by ‘donating a kick’ before the contest close on November 2, 2013. The city that receives the most donated kicks will receive an additional $10,000 toward their local Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund at the end of the football season.

While you enjoy an afternoon game with your kids, remember to give Juvenile Diabetes a swift kick. The kids will win and you can win too.
