I love the holidays for all the activities and family time but it does make it hard to eat a proper meal regularly. Recipes that only require a few ingredients are usually easy to create, making them ideal for the busy holiday season.

I think that’s one reason I like the Patak’s products, especially their sauces. They make it possible to put together a tasty family meal with a little Indian flavour. In the summer we made grilled shrimp tacos and the kids loved them; they’re huge shrimp fans.  Shrimp are easy to cook making them ideal for a quick meal in the wok too.

These Easy Curry Shrimp Tacos only require 5 ingredients:

3 tbps Patak’s Curry Paste, mild

4 tbsp Greek yogurt

Shrimp (frozen shelled and deveined are best if you can find them but not the pre-cooked kind)

Corn tortillas

Greens (though you could use any greens you like, such as cucumbers, alphafa or even just lettuce)

Mix the Patak Curry Paste and greek yogurt. Marinate your shrimp (thawed, shelled, deveined) for an hour prior to cooking. Toss in the wok until cooked. This was about five to eight minutes for the medium sized shrimp I was using.

Toast the corn tortillas on the burner, then add shrimp and top with your greens. Serve with a side of rice (from the rice cooker of course) and you have a whole meal ready for the family in under twenty-minutes.
