I may not be a fan of summer vacations coming to an end but I do love the after holiday glow. I’ve discovered The Body Shop’s Honey Bronze collection let’s me prolong that relaxed “fresh from the beach” look, even after I’ve returned home.

So there’s no mistake, this isn’t a tanning product. The line provides a little temporary glow of sunshine colour and shimmer. I tried both the Honey Bronze Tinted Leg Mist and Honey Bronze Tinted Face Gel. The subtle and washable colour is actually what drew me to try the line. I don’t wear a lot of make-up, if any at all, so I like a product that gives me permission to make a mistake.

It turns out I had nothing to worry about since the spray and gel easily rub in without streaks and you can add just the right colour intensity without any orange glow associated with so many similar products.

I should point out that the when using the spray ensure you’re in the tub or something you can easily wash down after your application. As you can imagine, a spray application sends particles on your body but there is overspray. It’s so fine that you won’t notice it until you touch it.

The Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil adds a little glitter, like salt on your skin, with a hint of colour. I have to say the face gel is my favourite for all the reasons outlines above. I love the subtle colour that even I can apply with ease. Every time I catch a glimpse of my face after using the gel I smile, thinking about beach holidays.

Even though I’m no longer on the shores of Hawaii or building castles on the sandy beaches of Florida, I can still enjoy that post holiday look. Hopefully it will hold me over until the next time I can get away.

How do you maintain your summer look when the season is over?
