I love to take pictures when I’m on vacation or enjoying the holidays with my family. But when I do take them I want to show them and share them right away. Digital pictures are great but real pictures in your hand are ones I can carry around in my wallet, give to friends, and post in my room.
That’s why I love the new Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 instant camera. The photos are small enough to fit into my purse. The camera also comes in a few different colours such as pastel blue, pastel pink, yellow, black, and white. I love the colors because you usually cameras are boring black and the bright and pastel colors are fun.

The camera was a very useful tool during my vacation. I really loved to use it and it was very easy to travel around with. It did take some getting used to at first like figuring out how far to stand away from things or which lighting setting to use. I did like the different flash options and depending on what your lighting the camera suggests the best mode for your photo. It would highlight the flash option with a little light .The battery usage for this camera is amazing as well. I must have had the camera in use for almost two months and I didn’t have to change the batteries.
It does take some time to figure out how best to use the camera, such as trying to fit everything into your photo and the best lighting. Even with the flash none of my nighttime or darker inside photos turned out. A few of my photos turned out blurry too but that could just be me needing to hold the camera steadier.
Taking the photos was fun. I even liked waiting for the images to develop. You can pick-up some fun frame options too like balloon prints or animal patterns. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 feels a little retro, like those old Polaroid cameras, which is kind of fun since everyone has digital pictures. It’s not a serious camera but great fun for sharing images of the moment.
Bye for now,
Verity
