Write and Wipe Games
Having a small whiteboard and erasable markers can help entertain small children while traveling. Call out letters for them to practice writing or have them draw a picture of things they see as you pass them. Little ones will love this as they drive in the car.

Mad Libs on the Road is a great game for older kids. You want to make sure your kids understand what nouns, verbs, and adjectives are. A perfect way to keep them using language skills on vacation, but in a fun way.
