 Synopsis from Penguin Books

Little Santa loves the North Pole. The rest of his family? Not so much. So, when they decide to move to Florida, Santa is miserable. Lucky for him, a blizzard foils their plans. The only way out of the house is up the chimney. Up goes Santa, to look for help, and along the way, he meets a reindeer and a large group of elves, who are more than eager to join in the rescue!

Most kids are familiar with Santa but Little Santa takes a unique look into how Santa started doing his December 24th gift visit. From his jolly red jumper from his youth to his early ability to shimmy up and down chimneys, we discover that Santa was just destined to be Santa. The story is cute and the illustrations are lovely.

Jon Agee wrote and illustrated one of our favourite stories, Milo’s Hat Trick, so it comes as no surprise that Little Santa also delights us. This will definitely be making an addition to our Christmas library and our Holiday Book Calendar.

You can find a copy of Little Santa at your local bookstore or at Penguin Books. Visit our Kid’s Books section for other great book recommendations.
