Steve Martin, illustrated by Helen Crawford White
64 pages
age 8 to 12

Synopsis from Publishers Group Canada:

In this activity book, through a series of fun and challenging tasks, kids will attend “classes” as part of their special training required to become an astronaut.

There’s something about space exploration that still enthrals kids. Astronaut Academy invites young space fans to take up the challenge and test their skills. The book is like a log or record book where they track their progress toward becoming an Astronaut Pilot, Mission Specialist, Payload Specialist or all three.

When completing a task or mission, the cadet earns a sticker found in the back of the book. Plus completing the training for any of the three crew member positions earns you a certificate. There’s even a Mission to Mars game and rocket model you can build.

Astronaut Academy is a great activity book that will build on your child’s love of space with some hands-on fun.
