My kids watch a number of shows that don’t interest me but MythBusters isn’t one of them. It’s actually a program the whole family enjoys and it inspires creative thinking and experimentation. So when MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition arrived at the Ontario Science Centre we were stoked to visit and now you can too.
The exhibit runs until September 13, 2015 and has a number of the artifacts from the actual show on display. My kids loved calling out the items they remember seeing from some of their favourite episodes. There’s something cool about seeing items from media right in front of you, as if the television show wasn’t real until you see the items first hand.
Any MythBuster fan will love seeing the suits, cannons, and catapults from their favourite exhibits but the real draw is the hands-on element. We had a chance to test or rather bust some myths first hand. Do you get wetter walking or running in the rain? Can super heroes really change in a telephone booth in seconds? Is it possible to pull a tablecloth from a table without disturbing the items on top?
We tried all of these, over and over again. I love the various special exhibits the Ontario Science Centre brings to guests but MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition is definitely one exhibit I could see more than once.

We were just having that discussion with our kids, pointing out a full phone booth when we were driving through town. They are hard to find.
