Mophie USB Chargers for iPhones, iPods and more

Now that I have an iPhone, I carry it everywhere and use it often. That also means I need to charge it a lot. Mophie is known for it's cases and cables and chargers for the iPhone, iPod, and the iPod Touch. They sent along to me two of their new USB chargers to try. And boy did they get used.

The Car and Wall International USB Charger ($24.95 US) enables me to charge my phone at home, at work and even on the go. There's a foldout plug enabling me to plug it into any wall outlet when I want to charge my iPhone at home (or anywhere I can find an outlet). When on the road to pick up the kids or head to a meeting or running around doing errands, this same charger can be used in my van's 12v DC outlet; just fold the plug part down and twist the 12v plug out. The 12v plug can rotate to meet your needs, depending on where your car's 12v DC outlet is located. The 12v plus and the standard plug both fold into the charger making it a compact device to store or carry. And having the ability to charge my iPhone at home or in the car with just one charger is a real plus.

If you travel overseas often, you can also purchase the International Travel Adaptor kit ($14.95 US) which comes with three international plugs that attach to the Car and International USB Charger easily. And when you're not the three plugs, you can store them in the included carrying case.

I only encountered one real issue when using the Car and International USB Charger: when the charger is plugged into a standard outlet (wall or powerbar) it blocks part of the outlet beside it. This can be limiting when the number of outlets available is limiting.

The Dual USB Wall Charger ($19.95 US) is great if you have more than one iPhone, iPod or iPod Touch in the house. Forget the coin toss to see who's turn it is to recharge their device first. The Dual USB Wall Charger enables you to charge two devices at once and it only uses one outlet. We charge most of our devices in the office and finding a free outlet can be tricky, so I loved this charger. The Dual USB Wall Charger is designed with a low profile so when plugged in it doesn't interfere with the other outlet. And when you're not charging a device or two the plug on the charger folds into itself, making it a nice slim box that can be stored in a drawer or in your bag for charging where ever you can find an available outlet.

Although I used both of these chargers for my iPhone, they can be used to charge any USB device.
