Snack Recipe: Qi’a Bumpy Smoothie

After school is a perfect time for everyone to take a break, have a snack, and catch-up before diving into homework and after school activities. Homemade smoothies can be a fun and healthy snack alternative.

We’ve started enjoying banana smoothies at home. They are so simple to make. Frozen bananas, milk, and a little honey. Blend. I now keep peeled and chopped bananas in the freezer for a quick smoothie fix. I was sent some samples of Nature’s Path Qi’a Superfood mixes. Mixing hemp seed into our yogurt isn’t a new to our family so tossing in the different flavours of the Qi’a Superfood mix was a nice treat.

If you’re looking for a healthy afterschool snack, adding one of the three Qi’a Superfood mixes will add a flavourful boost. You can also try making this Bumpy Smoothie (on my list try).

Qi’a Bumpy Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond or hemp milk
  • 2 tablespoons Qi’a Original
  • 1 banana, sliced into 1-inch pieces and frozen
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries or blueberries
  • 1 to 2 two teaspoons agave, or to taste

Put all of the ingredients into the container of a blender and blend on high until smooth.
