So last weeks post was about Happy and this week’s is about Hope because we all could use some. Even in Hollywood there is always Hope. The Hope that Bob Barker will come back to The Price is Right; the Hope that Geraldo Rivera will just get out of television all together; the Hope that we will sit in the audience of Oprah’s favourite things show and the Hope that Betty White will one day run for president. Life is about Hope. So here are my 5 Hollywood hopes:
1) Renée Zellweger & Bradley Cooper Split. The Hope here is the same that it has always been where Renee is concerned; that she will just go away, move to Idaho, buy a farm, stop making movies, get fat and happy and learn to stop doing that thing with her mouth.
2) Charlie Sheen puts new shows on sale. The Hope here is that Charlie Sheen will marry Renee Zellweger, move to Idaho, buy a farm, stop making movies, get fat and happy and learn to stop doing that thing with his mouth.
3) Billy Ray Cyrus files to withdraw divorce from Tish. I guess the Hope here is that they stay together. Billy Ray wants to put his family back together now that he is done blaming everyone else for it falling apart. Well now that sounds like a country song to me. Quite frankly, I am going to save my Hope on this one; I know there are better ways I could use it.
4) Bret Michaels & Miley Cyrus duet back on. I think that the Hope here is quite obvious’ that this duet gets cancelled again. For the love of all that is good and holy who in their right mind agreed to this. The pair is supposed to re-record “Every Rose”; was it not bad enough the first time? Not to mention all the awkward, “hey didn’t you sleep with my mom” conversations.
5) Lindsay Lohan may just plea for her freedom. The Hope here is that this is the last time this girl is in court, jail, custody or any other type of legal situation. Lindsay Lohan has always maintained her innocents on the felony theft charge and was ready for a fight. However it looks like the reality of having to actually do prison time is setting in. We find out this week if she will take a plea and avoid prison or if she will go down swinging.
I have Hope when it comes to tinsel town: the Hope that George Clooney knocks on my door asking me where I have been all his life; the Hope David Beckham turns out to be my son’s soccer coach this year. A girl can Hope.
Hope Floats...
1 ounce Vodka
1/2 Melon Liqueur
2 ounces Pineapple Juice
1/2 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a pice of fresh fruit and perspective...
