On Tuesday March 22 Chris Brown had a temper tantrum on Good Morning America; a full on over grown toddler style temper tantrum. He had a “Huff.”
Chris Brown reportedly smashed a dressing room window and stomped out of the New York studios of Good Morning America. After an interview with Robin Roberts to chat about his new album, Brown apparently went back and ripped apart the dressing room, including his own shirt, and smashed the window. He had a fit over some of the questions she was asking about the incident of abuse with Rihanna back in 2009.
Sources report that Brown knew full well than those questions would be asked during the interview, and how can he NOT expect people to ask. He BEAT her face in and got off basically scot-free. People want to know how he feels about it now 2 years later. Did he actually think people would forget? Does he not realize that after doing something so awful he will be asked about it for the rest of his life? Having a “Why are you picking on me?” temper tantrum is no way to repair his image. Looks like those anger management classes where a huge waste of time.
Reports say that as of Friday, he and his publicist, Tammy Brock, have parted ways. The reasons why are varied, but whatever they are hopefully this change will be a positive one.
I came across this video that I think is a must see, even if you are not into the whole Chris Brown scandal. It’s called “A history lesson for Chris Brown” and it sums up the issues perfectly. I only hope Chris himself has seen it and actually listened. Jay Smooth, a hip hop radio DJ in New York, did the video, and it was done well. A must see.
Chris Brown’s new album is called F.A.M.E and he has stated that it stands for Forgive All My Enemies. When Roberts asked him who his enemies were, Brown was quoted as saying in Radar on the Line, "just anybody, naysayers, haters, whatever the case may be." I’m thinking since he is his own worst enemy the forgiveness should start there. Maybe being humble and gracious and BEGGING for forgiveness from others would also be a healthy start.
All I know is that my house, car, radio and iPod is Chris Brown-free zone. I’m not into his music but my teenagers are and they know that his lyrical styling is not welcome here. Teen dating abuse is a huge growing concern and we need to make it clear to both boys and girls that it’s simply NOT ok. No excuses or exceptions.
