I do...I mean I did...Ok...I don’t anymore..Celebrity Divorce

This past week was a HUGE win fall for celebrity divorce lawyers. There was plenty of blood in the water for the suited sharks as not 1, but 3 celebrity marriages tanked.

The week got off to a hot start on the gossip circuit with Larry King delving into his 7th divorce from wife Shawn Southwick. Rumor has it that she has had enough (after 5 years) of him sleeping with her sister...Oh and there was her little “alleged’ seventh inning stretch with their sons baseball coach. This one had me thrown for a loop in many different ways, but the main being...Who the hell would WANT to sleep with Larry King??? When did Troll sex become the new in thing???

Melissa and Tammy Etheridge split after 9 years and Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy after their 5 year relationship. These were a shock and too bad, I liked these couples together...(not as much as George Clooney and myself of course...) Mel Gibson and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva (who looks eerily like The Octomom...just sayin) announced the end of their year relationship, that also included the birth of their daughter, Mel’s eighth child oh and who can forget the demise of his 30 YEAR MARRIAGE!

I don’t know what it is about Hollywood and the I Do’s, but they seem to be like Oil and Vinegar, fire and water, a nudist camp and a bicycle race. They just don’t seem to mesh very well. I can only imagine how hard it is to make things work with such demanding schedules and being in the public eye 24/7. I know myself how a marriage is tested with normal everyday things such as kids, work and just life in general. But I also feel that when you make it big in Hollywood you have to hand in your judgement and just plain common sense. My case in point...here for your “my life could so be worse” reading pleasure. Some of Hollywoods shortest marriages.

Who can forget Britney Spears and Jason Alexander (no not the short bald guy from Seinfeld). A trip to Vegas led to a 54 hour nuptial. I think I have stayed up longer than that...Toga toga toga!...

Denis Hopper and Michelle Phillips wed in a reported drug fueled haze, it lasted 8 glorious days. Cher and Greg Allman got hitched, once again in Vegas, 3 days after her divorce from Sonny Bono was final and it lasted for 9 days. I have to admit I have had relationships that lasted maybe 9 days. I never married the guy, more like just tried him on for size and found out that he made me look hippy.

It is rumored that in the 1920’s Rudolph Valentino and Jean Acker were married and it lasted 6 hours. Apparently she locked him out of their honeymoon suite and he just left.

Oh if all things in life were just that simple, but they are not and they are expensive. As is divorce in Hollywood...To date here are the top 5 most expensive divorce in Hollywood...

So it may not be easy to stay married in Hollywood, and why would it be when it pays so damn well...

Those are some expensive divorces. But I couldn't be married to a celebrity. Fidelity in marriage is difficult for regular people. Celebrities have people throwing themselves at them all of the time. Most of them do not have the morals or character to withstand the temptation. I will stick with my hubby. Until he gets me mad. Just joking.

No kidding, spendy indeed. But if you think about it, most of these women were with these guys before they became famous so they're really entitled to it. I too think I'll stick with my hubby of 18 years.
