Almost Famous: My Brush with Fame
So I had the pleasure of attending a really cool party the other night where the guest of honor was VODKA...Oh and Bruce Willis was there too. I am not going to lie, it was really cool to be there, after all it was an open bar. Vodka was free flowing, like a Utopia for me, only I was driving so I had to restrain myself. Oh and did I mention Bruce Willis was there? He walked right by my friend Tina and I, I thought she was going to reach over and lick his bald head. I have to say I think I peed a little when he walked by us, never thought I would get all giddy feeling but I did. It was way cool and he was HOT!
I have been very blessed in my work life to have some cool gigs that have garnered me some amazing experiences. Among those some really cool brushes with fame. Growing up I belonged to a cheesy little talent agency and was an extra in some television shows and movies. I was in Police Academy 3, you can see me for a second through a chain link fence. I was in a movie of the week with Valerie Bertinelli, did 2 episodes of Hanging In , a homeless kid in Amerika and at 15 played a hooker on Night Heat. My parents were so proud. Needless to say the gig was fun and I made enough to buy my first car. Although I never got to meat any of the famous people I was hanging around...So a very distant brush for me.
Later in life I landed a cool gig that got me invited to some fab parties. I was doing some work for a company involved with the Toronto International Film Festival so I was able to score a couple of tickets to some fabulous parties. So I attended a party with Denzel Washington, well I was not WITH him. He was there and so was I, and I saw him, briefly. Later that same evening I hit another lux party and bumped into the late Heath Ledger. This was not a brush but a full on bump. We collided on the way to the bar and he nearly knocked me over, and it was hot! I said the stupidest thing know to man...”Hey 2 minutes for roughing” and he replied, YES HE ACTUALLY SPOKE TO ME...”Oh Hockey, how I love your Canadian game.” His voice was sweet and funny. I left the party on cloud nine and to this day when I think of that night I feel giddy and smile.
Then last year I got to hug a real live celebrity, well more like Delebrity, but whoʼs keeping track. I was at Caesar Palace in Las Vegas on my way to the Divine Miss M, Bette Midler. As I am walking down the stairs to my seats, on a wee bit of a red wine high, I catch a glimpse of her out of the corner of my eye. It is her! None other than the hawt mess herself Janice Dickinson. So I marched right up to her, in good old fashioned stalker style, hugged her and told her she was Fabulous! At least thatʼs what I think I said. Itʼs Vegas after all.

Do You Know Who I Am??? Daiquiri...
1 ounce Hpnotiq
1 ounce Vodka
3 ounces Peach Juice
1 ounce Roses Blue Raspberry Syrup
2 cups ice
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Add more ice if you prefer your daiquiri thicker...Enjoy.
