If you asked a thousand heterosexual men to explain the popularity of Sex and the City, they might look like confused shmucks. Potentially, some of these men might have watched the show with their girlfriends or wives, and still more tolerated it being on while they did something else. But for the most part, you’d be hard-pressed to find a straight guy who admitted to a love for the Manhattan, Cosmopolitans, fashion, shoes, sex and men that flash before cult-like fans of the films and tv show.

What it really comes down to is the audacity of the characters and how they make anything look good. In light of the release of Sex and the City 2, we have to wonder, why stick to the usual safe summer clothes?
