The temperature keeps bouncing like a preschooler on a trampoline, one moment high in the air with the warm sun and next down by the cold frosted ground. It’s those moments of high, those sunny slightly warmer days that have me dreaming of Spring and Summer and the recent PC Home Spring 2014 preview event helped this feeling along.
Beyond the cold, winter always seems so dull with no green leaves on the trees or colourful flowers in the gardens. PC Home reminded me that Spring promises colour. I’m pretty smitten with these solar flamingos for the backyard. The way the Canadian dollar is hanging adding a little tropical décor to my backyard may be the closest I get to being down south.
Warmer weather means more time outside, stretching into the evening. Candles are a great way to add a little light and the combination of colourful patterns and earthy stone look with citronella candles will also help keep those pesky bugs that are looking forward to the warmer weather too.
I’m so looking forward to spending more time in our backyard, doing homework from the kids, playing games as a family, and enjoying many barbecue meals. Now all I need is an outdoor dining set, like this wicker set.
PC Home showed off some great outdoor furniture options too, from casual backyard seating to small table sets. I especially love the small colourful tables where the tabletop is removable making it a perfect serving tray for serving guests.
I thought the portable charcoal barbecue was super cute but I must admit my favourite item from PC Home this Spring has to be the candy floss machine. Imagine the fun! I know our Junior Style Blogger will have this on her birthday wish list. The stackable drink dispensers are a great idea instead of taking up all your table space with multiple dispensers.
PC Home’s Spring preview showed a lot of great options for outdoor dining and entertaining.
Warmer weather is also fun, like these colourful beach towels and great storage baskets and how cute are these hooded towels for the kids. Sadly only my youngest would fit into these. Why do they have to grow so fast?
Even as I still bundle up for the walk to school, this peek into Spring has me hopefully and it’s not that far away. Expect to see these items in stores at the end of March.
