An ever astute, gadget-wielding, crime-stopping super hero looking out for the kids beyond the lunch hour.

The kids loved the comic book format, just like other superhero stories they have read. Lunch Lady's gadgets (like her truth brownie) and her disguises (she makes a pretty cool pharaoh) had my kids riveted to the story. The graphic novel set-up gave energy to the story that wouldn't have been captured the same way if just written as a chapter book. I think after reading Lunch Lady, my kids will be looking at all cafiteria staff a little differently. This is book 6 within the Lunch Lady series.
