Synopsis from Raincoast Books:

A greedy Bad Kitty didn't get all the presents she wanted for Christmas, but after she goes on a Christmas caper across town and through three alphabets, she makes a new friend, finds an old friend, and learns the true meaning of Christmas. Or not. Just in time for the holidays, fan-favorite author and illustrator Nick Bruel is back with a new--highly anticipated--Bad Kitty picture book.

If you have cats in your home, you know all about their attitude (and love them for it). A Bad Kitty Christmas takes kitty's attitude to the max with mayhem and destruction around the holidays. My kids loved the chaos Bad Kitty created: cards were all crushed; the gifts were all gutted. I loved the use of alliteration, working its way through the alphabet, twice. The kids thought it clever too.

Destruction aside, Bad Kitty finds the true meaning of family and friendship during the holidays, making it a funny and heart-warming story at the same time. I was surprised at how well the rhyme worked for the length of the story. We're now in love with Bad Kitty and look forward to future adventures.

You can add A Bad Kitty Christmas to your personal library by visiting your local book store or visiting Raincoast Books. Visit our Kid's Books section for other great book recommendations. What are you reading with your kids?
