This is one of those fall-back-on dinners everyone has in their back pocket; the thing you know how to pull together no matter what you have in the house. It might not seem like a recipe at all, but it totally counts. It makes enough for dinner for four, and then another dinner for four - freeze the leftovers or just stash them in the fridge for a day or three.

Pork ribs are perfect comfort food, easy to prepare in the oven or slow cooker and a welcome meal after a long day out in the cold. Serve them with brown rice and a tossed salad, and freeze leftovers to spread over pizza or stir into baked beans.
