After watching Food Network, my 14 year old just had to create a barbeque sauce to brush on our steaks one evening. He lovingly basted and turned those steaks, and they turned out beautiful! I think I have a chef in the making. Veggie packets are fun to make and convenient, as everything just cooks right up on the grill.

With an abundance of locally grown basil in my grocery store, we just had to make pesto. One of my favorite things to do is to mix it with some mayo and spread it on a burger bun. Top the burger with fresh greens, tomato, a bit of feta, and thinly sliced red onion. YUM.

I had the chance to raid a friend's garden recently and cooked up this delicious stir fry. No need for rice with this baby, it was absolutely scrumptious! Lots of plump garlic shrimp and late summer veggies with garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs.
