It’s funny to think of Planter’s Peanuts just recently getting into the peanut butter market. When I think peanuts, Planter’s comes to mind. So when I received a sample of Planter’s new smooth peanut butter I was curious if it would live up to my expectation and put it to the test like any peanut butter lover would. I made peanut butter cookies.

Using Smitten Kitchen’s recipe, my youngest daughter volunteered to be my helper. She gave her all, throwing herself right into the taste test, trying the Planter’s peanut butter at various stages of the baking process.

Peanut Butter Cookie Recipes Licking the Spoon

The end result was peanut butter goodness (both in the cookie and on the spoon). Unlike other peanut butters the Planter’s version tasted (and smelled) more like peanuts than sugar. You can bet after opening our jar to bake, it didn’t last much long afterwards.

Oatmeal cookies are often unrated though they are a favourite of mine (with raisins, yes I said raisins). Adding peanut butter to the mix may bring you back into the oatmeal cookie circle.

Not all peanut butter cookies require the oven. These no-bake bites are loaded with lots of goodness (including peanut butter) and make a great snack even little kids can help create.

Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwich Cookies, Bake at 350
Being a peanut butter cookie fan it can be hard to stop at just one cookie. Worried what others will say when you go to grab a second cookie? Try making a sandwich; a peanut butter cookie on top and a peanut butter cookie on the bottom and marshmallow cream sandwiched in the middle.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies, Joy the Baker
Think traditional cookies are a thing of the past if flour is out of your diet? I’ve heard these flourless peanut butter cookies will convince you otherwise. Plus they only use 5 ingredients!

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cornflake Cookies, One Punky Mama
After visit to Marston’s Restaurant in Pasadena for their cornflake encrusted French toast, I’ve developed a new love for this breakfast cereal. One reason these no-bake peanut butter cookies with cornflakes are on my list to try.

Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies, Chocolate and Carrots
I’m a big fan of the whole sweet and salty mix so adding the sweetness of chocolate to the saltiness of peanuts makes perfect sense. Try taking your peanut butter cookies and dipping them in chocolate for something different.

Chocolate Covered Pretzel Peanut Butter Cookies, Inspired by Charm
Another fun twist on a sweet and salty combination. If you’ve never tried baking cookies with pretzel pieces before, let this recipe be your chance. Love this addition to an afternoon snack.

Gluten Free Apple Peanut Butter Cookies, Gluten Free on a Shoestring
Gluten-free is a big focus in recipes, some for diet reasons other for health. I don’t follow a gluten-free diet but that wouldn’t stop me from trying these apple peanut butter cookies. I like the idea of diced applies mixed into this treat.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies, Sweet Tooth
Try this cookie twist on a traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Two peanut butter cookies shaped like bread with jelly holding them together. These are just too cute to not try.

Have fun indulging in your peanut butter fix. Now I have to go out and buy more Planter’s peanut butter to work my way through these other recipes.
