It’s easy to create a natural room scent in your home, like Yummy Life’s DIY Natural Room Scents, which we’ve featured before, and Clean My Space’s easy DIY Room Deoderizer recipes. However, when you’re on the road it’s not possible to simmer a pot of cinnamon sticks on the stove.

Febreze Car Vent Clips offer an easy way to combat the smell of snack food and sweaty feet that seem to build-up in our vehicle after a day’s worth of driving. The clips are easy to use, just clip on one of your vents (you can see a video on how they work on Febreze’s site). You can adjust the scent intensity with a simple dial on the top of the clip. We’re not big on strong scents in our family, avoiding perfume and relying on natural fregrances at home, so of course I had the control turned all the way down.

When your vents are on, it carries the aroma from the Febreze Car Vent Clip throughout your vehicle. Every time I start up my vehicle I seem to get a big burst of scent but this quickly evens out, providing a subtle scent in the vehicle. Recently Febreze did a demonstration of the Car Vent Clips at the Toronto International Auto Show, having people sit in a VW Vanagon loaded with hamburger wrappers and sticky sneakers. It was a great way to demonstrate the product.

The Febreze Car Vent Clips reportedly last for about 30 days but I've had my clip in for almost 2 months. I think having the vent turned down low and the fact that we don't use our vehicle everyday might explain why our clip has lasted so long. The true test will be on our next multi-day road trip.

We spend a lot of our family vacation time on road trips. The Febreze Car Vents will make long trips more enjoyable. After our recent trip to Hawaii, I’m especially excited the Hawaiian Aloha scent. I may not make it back to the island any time soon but I can imagine the experience while being surrounded by the tropical aroma.
