If you're thinking of starting a workout routine or already have one in place, jump right in. Share fitness tips. encourage each other to get off the couch, cheer on those big and little accomplishments.
I have been going to the gym for a year-and nothing happened, 5 lbs in 8 months. SO I canceled the membership, and took up jogging with the dog, and my oldest girl. 1 month later 5 lbs lighter and major inches lost. I just love it when my clothing starts to fit, excellent motivator for me.
I have been thinking about doing a video, but after reading a few post I think I may just bust out the Wii Fit and go for it! I do have to add that I have thyroid problems that we are currently trying to fix, and was told that may be the reason the weight is not coming off. I am hoping to loss a good 20 by summer 2010.
I've been a bit of a procrastonator when it comes to my fitness. We're going away for vacation in a weeks time so I hope to get back into the swing of things on our return. Pull out the Wii EA Sports Active and Fit (wow Jenaferlm, 26lbs in 3 months, impressive)
I have been losing a ton of weight by doing tw things: 5 mile bike rides about every other night and recently added my Wii fit-- i think the wii may kill me but i lost 26 pounds already in about 3 months!
I must say my Wii is collecting dust right now, too busy I guess but I have been going to the gym :). You ladies are might just motivate me to bust it out and play some games instead of watching t.v. at night.
LOL I guess I'm a dork then. I totally swing the tennis rack and toss the bowling ball. I love my Wii. We never seem to sit when we're playing anything, even racing cars :-)
I am a personal trainer myself and I LOVE THE WII! I finally got it for my husband's birthday just two weeks ago. We don't have the WII Fit (because I spend enough of my life doing push ups and yoga poses) but we do have various sports games and I have to say, as a fitness professional and a huge advocate of active family living, I think the WII is a revolution in electronic entertainment. If you are a dork like me and you actually get into the game, moving around, swinging your tennis racket, pitching the ball, you will raise your heart rate and use sport-specific muscles in much the same way you would if you were actually playing, albeit at a lower intensity! A ZILLION times better than just sitting on the couch and a way more fun, interactive way to spend family TV time.
AWESOME!
And, no, I am not paid to endorse Nintendo... ha ha
Hi ladies,
Wow, only 4 members in here. It will grow soon; I am excited to be part of this group. Working out is part of my life and have lost 60 pounds from it.

So I've just started using the EA Sports Active personal trainer for my Wii. I thought by starting this group it would encourage me to keep up my routine. And perhaps I'm not the only one out there struggling to get fit.
