TOPIC: baby items you can't live without?
#858
baby items you can't live without? 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
My mother-in-law just got me a nifty plat mat - this thing is really cool. I had never seen it before so I wanted to tell everyone about it – it is so freaking useful. It is called the SoftSpot by Wozzy and is a round mat that folds to the shape of a pie – and it has handles making it super easy to hang off your stroller handle or throw in the back of your car. I started using it mostly in my house with one of their removable covers (mine is polka dot and really cute).

I plopped Ava on it with her toys while I got stuff done around the house – she really loves tummy time on this thing. But when we started getting out of the house more when the weather warmed up, we were literally taking it everywhere. It is water resistant and antibacterial which makes it great for the park or my son’s soccer games. We took it to a beach rental and it was awesome to keep the baby off the yucky floors. My mom-in-law got mine at buybuyBABY but I think you can order online on their site too www.softspotbywozzy.com. It’s my new staple shower gift – a little pricey but SO WORTH it.

What baby item would you not be able to live without? I'd love to find new things to buy my kiddos.

We have something similar its a wisey playmat bag. It is great because its a bag (great for holding a picnic lunch or toys) and it unfold to make a bag. I also love my Kiddopotamus Tiny Diner (a must if you eat out) and bib. The Tiny Diner suction cups to any table so your toddler can eat off the table without food touching a dirty table or making a mess. It's a must have.

I couldn't live without my baby carrier (either the mei tai or the Bjorn), and I REALLY love our Bumbo seat. I hear they make a tray for the Bumbo which I'm definitely going to keep an eye on Freecycle / Craigslist for.

I couldn't live without my baby Bjorn either! My daughter needed to be with me every second and it was the only way I could eat, get things done around the house, etc. I even vacuumed with her in the Bjorn

When my youngest daughter was born (December) I bought a heated wipes dispenser. My daughter loved it too; no cold wet wipes on her for a late night change.

A moses basket. We had one on each floor so when we moved around our kids could nap or hangout with us anywhere. Could easily be carried out into the backyard too.
