TOPIC: School and Valentines?
#3549
School and Valentines? 1 Month ago Karma: 5
Well the kids Valentine stuff is coming up in the next week here and I am stuck on what to do.

The school asks that if you want to do Valentines you send for the entire class which I am fine with.

What I am stumped on is do I just do all girl type Valentines for dd to give out or do I do some boys type and some girl. I don't know for my sons class how many of each he has but it would be easy to figure out for my daughters as she was given a list of names to fill out.

I am lucky cause i have a boy and girl and I could just trade ds boy ones with dd girl ones.

What do you do?

I haven't heard anything from my daughter's school about how they will be celebrating Valentines.

I was expecting a class list of first names only so that we could do up valentine cards but so far nothing.

We received a class list which was very helpful. For the Valentines I bought a mix bag of Pixar Valentines with characters from Cars, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Toy Story and some others. I figured they weren't too gender specific. I sat down with my son and named a name off the list and he picked the Valentine from the pile that he wanted to give to that friend. Even if he picked a Cars or Superhero character for a girl I didn't try to change it. I figure this is his gift for his little friend so he can pick. He really seemed to like choosing which Valentine to give his friend.

The pack I bought was from Michaels and was a great bargain. 34 Valentines in one box for $4 and each Valentine came with a little matching press-on tattoo too!

I wouldn't worry too much about being gender specific. Jake's favorite movie for awhile was the Little Mermaid, and I'm sure some girls like "Cars"! I'd just let my child pick and be done with it.

Well I asked the teacher today how many girls and boys and she said they all have mailboxes but that they don't know who's is who's so if I did some of each we really don't that a girl would get girl ones and the boy would get boy ones so I think we will just stick with the ones ds wants to give.
