  • able to make our readers ponder, smile or LOL
  • unique ideas, that haven’t already been written about everywhere

We offer contributors:

Payment

Contributor payments are processed on the first and 15th of each month, within 30 days of publishing and are payable in Canadian funds. Writers are offered a flat rate per original article and will receive at least the entry-level rate of $25; highly-experienced writers may negotiate for higher rates prior to submitting their original articles.

If your idea is approved for publication, you will be asked to submit a PayPal invoice when you send us your full article. Within the PayPal invoice to hi [at] everythingmom [dot] com, please include the title of your article and your EverythingMom.com member/author name. If you’re invoicing for multiple articles, you may send a single invoice for each article, or a single invoice for a batch of articles – it’s up to you!

Exposure

So that readers can read more of your writing, connect with you and find out more, at the end of your article, an author box pulls information from your profile page on EverythingMom.com. This includes an author image, brief bio, and links to external websites, blogs, a twitter account or other online profiles, as well as a link back to your EverythingMom.com profile page – where all of your articles from the site will be listed.

Community Engagement

Readers’ comments on your article will be emailed to the address you used to set-up your EverythingMom.com profile, allowing you to see what others think, comment back, and to continue the dialog.

What to include in your pitch

In a brief email to ca [at] everythingmom [dot] com, please only share your idea, rate expectations, and links to previous writing samples. DO NOT send full articles – if we approve your idea, we will request the full article.

The stuff lawyers like us to say:

Unless otherwise agreed upon, and by submitting your full article and accepting its related payment from EverythingMom Media Inc., you agree that EverythingMomMedia Inc. is purchasing first exclusive electronic rights to your article and non-exclusive rights to keep your article in our online archives, and that EverythingMomMedia Inc. may publish or feature your article on its associated or partner sites.  Additionally, EverythingMom Media Inc. may edit your work slightly upon initialor subsequent publications of the content, in order to adjust the tone of the content to that of its intended arena.

In regards to payment of article fees, timely payments are not guaranteed in the case that: you neglect to invoice EverythingMom Media Inc., your invoice is not sent via PayPal, as described above, or you do not include your publishing name and/or the article title. EverythingMom Media Inc. does not guarantee payment for articles published more than 90 days prior to invoicing.

Thank you for your interest in writing for EverythingMom.com!

One of the major issues at hand has to be the relationship between home and school. As an educator, I have a lot of experience working with children and often find them confiding in me about how the situations at home effects them in school.

I'd be happy to talk about anything! Making it work with my super sweet hubby of 10 years, being a hands-on mom to two little ones, being a Cosmetologist, a student, and more. I have cleaning tips, mommy tips, fashion tips, and having a happy life tips. I have experienced a lot and would love to help other busy moms and dads. I am one tough cookie who has been through more that one could imagine, yet I know the purpose of my past grievances is for me to help others turn their troubles into positivity.

I would like to write and article on dealing with kids with different needs. I have a teen who is type 1 diabetic and has Non verbal learning disability, this one I'm still learning about, but she has been diabetic since 1995. My youngest son has developmental delays and is being considered for autistic behaviours as well as other issues such as moderate delayed speech. the two older ones are now out of the house, the oldest has Aspergers and is helping his grandparents, the second oldest has ADHD and is doing well in his 3rd year of university studying accounting.

As an (a-hem) "older" new Mom, I find the competitiveness between Mothers, around their infants, fascinating and would be interested in writing articles on that topic.

I would also enjoy writing about the feelings and pressures involved in taking a maternity leave and/or being a stay at home Mom.

I have many other ideas and would be open to suggestions.

Hello, I am the proud mom of three wonderful children aged 7,5, and 2. With a husband that works away from home months at a time, I find that writing makes my frustrations and joys concrete. I am happy to now start writing about the "terrible" part of the "terrible two's" lol. My works include the mysteries of "why a 2 yr old boy likes to plug the bathroom sink and run the water until it overflows, or why he thinks he's big enough to get a chair and climb up to the counter, get a banana, cut the top off and eat it".
Purely for my sanity, is the reason why I write. lol
Take care
Happy parenting. :-)

+1 # mommy bliss 2011-02-24 11:11
My name is Kat and I reside in the mid-west. I am a mommy of 3 (girl-5, boy-3, and baby girl-6 months) playgroup organizer (85 members), and wife. I work part time from home as an instructor teaching green and sustainable design courses. I am an advocate for green and sustainable living. I have evolved as a mommy over the past 5 years and have enjoyed talking to other moms about various topics. What I have found is that I am often the momma everyone is saving their drama for and sharing their many opinions. I enjoy writing and would like the opportunity to share what other moms are talking about through a bit of humor and a dash of humility.

Hi there!

I am a recently published children's author, mom of three, wife and business owner that loves being humorously random and writing about it too. I think all moms epitomize Wonder Woman (minus the lasso of truth and bullet deflecting bracelets...wouldn't those be soooo cool though?), and think we all need some laughter during the day and a good read.

Please visit my website and blog at www.jennysulpizio.com

Thanks,
Jenny

I am a mother of 2 children. My oldest son is 12 and has mental illness that keeps our family in and out of hospital. My husband has OCD and Aspergers, my mother suffers seizures and has depression and I have Bipolar Disorder. I also have an active 5 year old boy and a full time job.
I would be interested in writing articles concerning mental health and family. I feel my experiences allow me to share an insight into how mental illness affects both the individual and family. As well I can hopefully assist other parents who are going through the same situation. Mental illness is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing health conditions facing Canadians and it is important for a dialogue to continually exist.
thank you for reading
